Halotherapy (Salt Therapy)

The use of salt therapy is not intended to substitute for medical care or treatment. Do not stop your medication without first consulting with your doctor.

Is not recommended in the following cases:

  • Tuberculosis
  • Fever
  • Contagious conditions
  • Severe heart disorders
  • Cancer Presence
  • Advanced pregnancy
  • Acute state of respiratory attack

Red-Light Therapy

Is not recommended in the following cases:

  • Pregnancy
  • Epilepsy
  • Individuals currently taking cortisone injections or steroids
  • Acute active hemorrhage
  • Individual with diseases that involve the retina of the eye, such as diabetes
  • Use of Red-Light Therapy directly over the thyroid in specific thyroid conditions is not advised

Infrared Therapy

Is not recommended in the following cases: 

  • Alcohol use/abuse
  • Conditions with impaired sweating (such as Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors, Diabetes with Neuropathy, etc.)
  • Hemophilia
  • Fever
  • Sensitive to heat
  • Pregnancy
  • Menstruation
  • Joint injuries less than 72 hrs or chronically hot/swollen joints
  • Closed Infections (dental or otherwise)
  • Metal implants, pins, rods, other surgical implants should consult your surgeon prior to use



Medications

Use of Red-Light Therapy while taking photo-sensitive medications like lithium, melatonin, phenothiazine, antipsychotics, and certain antibiotics is not advised. Talk to you physician for advice on whether or not Red-Light Therapy is right for you.

Use of Infrared Heat Sources while taking some medications infrared waves can elevate body temperature. Diuretics, barbiturates, beta-blockers, and some OTC medications, such as antihistamines may impair the body's natural heat loss mechanisms - making the body more prone to a heat stroke.

Salt Therapy, Infrared Sauna, and/or Red-Light Therapy does NOT substitute for any conventional medication. If you have any questions about Salt Therapy, Infrared Sauna, and/or Red-Light Therapy, check with your doctor before proceeding.
